The Intention

When our fast paced and demanding lives feel overwhelming, we may not recognise the numbing, hardening effect it has on our body, mind, and nervous system. We build walls to protect ourselves, but in doing so, we risk disconnecting from what truly matters.

This retreat offers a safe space to explore softer states of being—through compassion and connection.

We will come together in this tranquil setting, surrounded by nature and its quiet invitation to slow down and tune in, finding balance between activity and rest.

Let’s reconnect—not just with nature’s rhythm, but with ourselves and each other. This retreat is an opportunity to slow down, listen, and reconnect with yourself through mindful movement and awareness.

Let’s create space to reconsider where we invest our energy, realign with what truly nourishes you and what matters most.

Meet the Team

Brought together by a shared enthusiasm for curiosity, self-discovery, and embodied healing. Renée & Jiaying invite you to retreat softly; blending Eastern and Western healing approaches they will guide participants through movement, body awareness, and self-listening to foster a deeper connection with your body.

  • Retreat Co-ordinator & Yoga Teacher

Renée discovered yoga during a pivotal moment in her life, feeling unfulfilled and stagnant in a corporate career that didn’t reflect her core values. Seeking change, she embraced a vigorous practice, but in her eagerness to excel, she neglected to listen to her body, ultimately resulting in injury. This experience became a turning point for Renée, inspiring her to slow down and explore a more mindful and nurturing approach to yoga. As she deepened her understanding of both the physical and philosophical aspects of the practice, she became passionate about sharing her insights with others. Today, Renée guides her students toward greater awareness and self-compassion, encouraging them to honour their bodies and embark on their own journeys of exploration.

  • 🌿 Morning Somatic Movements - Gently wake the body through playful exploration, empowering your autonomy and self-practice.

🌿 Yin and Restorative Yoga - Wind down in the evenings, allowing ample time to deepen your body awareness and support each pose.

🌿 Yoga Nidra - Cultivate awareness of physical, mental, emotional, and energetic sensations using breath and mindfulness, promoting relaxation and restorative sleep.

  • Movement & Rehabilitation Specialist

Jiaying’s exploration of movement began at a young age. She was a professional synchronized swimmer for 10 years, competing at the national level. Her passion for movement eventually led her to rehabilitation, where she first worked with young synchronized swimmers before expanding into general rehab.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports, and Rehabilitation from Canada and further deepened her clinical expertise with a Master’s in Orthopaedics (Distinction) from UCL. Jiaying believes that a healthy lifestyle and overall well-being are essential parts of the rehabilitation process. She believes that movement, body awareness, and lifestyle are essential components of well-being and recovery. Her approach integrates manual therapy, movement integration, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to support the body’s natural healing processes.

    Her additional training:

    • Visceral Manipulation

    • General Listening Techniques

    • Neuromeningeal Manipulation

    • Manual Lymphatic Drainage

    • Craniosacral Therapy

  • 🌿 Tai Chi & Qi Flow – Connect with your body's natural energy through Tai Chi, promoting relaxation, balance, and harmony.
🌿 Body Awareness & Listening – Tune into subtle sensations and discomfort to understand what your body is communicating.
🌿 TCM & Biological Rhythms – Align with natural rhythms using Traditional Chinese Medicine principles for better energy, sleep, and health.
